Professional Teeth Whitening

Countless people are dissatisfied with dulled or yellowed teeth, which take away from their radiant smiles. Discolored teeth can be linked to poor oral hygiene, as well as the effects of aging and weakened dental structures caused by various factors.

Professional teeth whitening procedures simplifies the path to a bright smile, often achievable within a single treatment session. This process involves the application of a hydrogen peroxide gel onto the teeth, followed by the activation of the gel to release oxygen ions. These ions flood the teeth, effectively breaking down both internal and external stains. This bleaching process is highly efficient and safe, causing minimal to no discomfort.

  • What are the benefits of teeth whitening?

The process of teeth whitening enhances your smile, leading to increased confidence and a more youthful appearance. It can have a significant impact on your overall aesthetic, making you appear healthier, happier, and even more energetic. Remarkably, these positive transformations can often be achieved with just a single treatment, providing long-lasting benefits to your overall image.

  • How is professional teeth whitening performed?

Our office currently offers two different types of professional whitening services: in-office and custom-made trays.

    • In-office. These procedures start by covering up vulnerable areas inside the mouth, including the lips and gums, to prevent exposure from the peroxide. Then, we apply a high-concentrate hydrogen peroxide gel directly to the teeth and activate it. You will rest comfortably for a short time until the gel does its work. Then we remove the coverings and rinse the gel away.
    • Custom-made trays. We will take a custom mold of your teeth to make clear trays that you take home, along with a whitening gel. These trays will help minimize the risk of whitening gel affecting your gums or mouth and you can whiten your teeth from the comfort of your home. All you have to do is place the whitening gel inside the trays and place the trays in your mouth.
  • How do I whiten my teeth at home?

If you prefer to whiten your teeth at home without visiting the dentist, there are several methods you can try. These include brushing your teeth with baking soda, using hydrogen peroxide in a diluted form (1.5% solution instead of the commonly available 3% over-the-counter solution) for brushing or rinsing, incorporating apple cider vinegar as a brushing or rinsing agent, increasing your consumption of fruits and vegetables, which are beneficial for both your overall health and dental well-being. It’s also advisable to limit the consumption of teeth-staining substances like soda, coffee, and wine, as well as reducing your sugar intake. Additionally, remember to maintain a consistent oral hygiene routine of brushing and flossing twice a day, as it remains a powerful tool for maintaining dental health.
